Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A chopper hovering near a well-attended coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage posted online depict the aircraft starting to spin over the shoreline then descending near the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the aircraft and were âextracted safely from the crash siteâ subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Information on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
